This sermon focuses on marriage. Marriage is a commitment and covenant with God. In our marriages we are to love and submit to one another. Ephesians 5:21 says “Submit to one another out of reverence to Christ.” Submission is not suppression or unworthiness, it is the divine calling of a wife to honour and affirm her husband’s leadership and help carry it according to her gift. Ephesians 5:24 says “ Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.”

On the other hand Ephesians 5:25-30 also talks about the duty of husbands in a marriage towards their wives. Husbands are to love their wives sacrificially like how Jesus loved the church. Husbands are to protect their wives’ holiness, virtue and purity. They are to take care of their wives like how they do with their bodies.
