God doesn’t do obvious things. It doesn’t matter where you are from or what you have done, God doesn’t discriminate but uses everyone. He has plans for all regardless.
God uses the unlikely to accomplish his plans. A great example is Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Mary was a young girl from Nazareth, a small city that wasn’t very popular. However this did not stop God from using her to accomplish his plan to bring Jesus Christ our Saviour.
God is able to do the impossible. The things that don’t make sense scientifically or physically, God can do them. He has the power to perform miracles and wonders. Nobody ever thought that David would be able to defeat Goliath the giant, but he did it because God empowered him and did the unexpected. Mary, a virgin, got pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”
God’s favour can not be earned or bought. When the hand of God is upon you there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it.
If we desire to be used by God we must be willing to have our lives interrupted. May we be willing to do what he asks us to do, no matter what. May we be able to say yes to him and say “let it be unto me according to your word.”
