In Colossians 3:15-17 The Apostle Paul reminds churches to be thankful. We are always to be thankful to God and we are to express it through psalms, hymns and singing songs of gratitude.
We forget to say thank you to God because we are too busy. In the midst of doing and going we forget to pause and say thank you to God.
We feel entitled to all that God does for us, we don’t say thank you. God doesn’t owe us anything, everything is a gift from God. We often take advantage of the Gift of life that God gives and think it is our right to get it. We are the beneficiary of the things that come from God. Psalm 24:1 say, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;”
How can we thank God?
By verbally thanking him in prayer.
Giving him thank offerings as it says in Psalm 107:21-22, “Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.Let them sacrifice thank offering and tell of his works with songs of joy.”
