Jesus came to us as God’s gift to the world. Isaiah 9:6 says, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Jesus came to change us and save us from problems we create ourselves. God never wants his people to perish forever, for he loves and cares for us too much. John 3:16 says, “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus came to this world to lift our burdens. Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” He came to break us from the yolk of slavery, bondage and break us from sin. He is a wonderful saviour.

Jesus came to meet our deepest needs. He came to deliver us from the darkness we live in. He is a saviour who brings light, protection, love and peace. He has no rival nor equal.
